child like faith

So I have been reading the Narnia books! My goal is to finish these books before I leave. I am about a smig over half way through.

Lucy, Ed, Peter, Susan and a drawf are treking through the forest- they are walking “kinda knowning where they are going.

Lucy is the only one who sees Aslan- and sees He wants them to change there course. BUT nobody in the group trust that she saw Him because they didn’t see Him.

When they finally meet up with Aslan- Lucy wants to tell Aslan she didn’t follow because the other didn’t believe her and it wasn’t her fault.

All Aslan does is look into her eyes and she talkes through it.

O I could of? but how? Am I not to know?

He says “to know what would have happened, child. no nobody is ever told that. But anyone can find out what will happen?

there is just so much I want to say when I hear all of this. I just wanna rest at His feet. I love later when Lucy says “I always see Him

I want to always see Him. I think all of us want to feel that- especially in making decisions, or walking through hard things or just all the time! We want to SEE him.

Romans 8:24-25

For in this hope we are saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we dont see, we wait for it with patience.

A lot of days I want to live in Narnia and wish my name was Lucy so I can just follow Aslan around 🙂 but Lucy wished that too when she was back on Earth.

we must have hope. we must trust He is there. we must lean into the Spirit and find out what will happen.

  1. i resonate with this.

It’s a lot harder to walk when we don’t see… to walk when all we get is a blurred vision and it’s hard to hear his voice… but learning to know it is one of the more rewarding things we get on this earth… learning to know… learning to trust…

    it’s a good process.

…and we can all start calling you lucy, if you’d like. 🙂

  2. oh I just love Lucy!!! the thing is to always see him, to always see his face – to live with blinders on and ears cleaned out…. to dwell in his presence. we love it there but life’s details keep beckoning us away. may his face be always before you and his voice continue to woo you each and every day. I pray you fall deeply in love with him this year.
